Angela & Jeremy | Wichita Mountains | Oklahoma Engagement Photography

I was thrilled to hear that an old friend I use to work with is moving forward in life and get engaged this year. Humbled to hear that we were even considered to cover their wedding and their engagements. I decided that I would like to mix it up and get to the great outdoors that Oklahoma has to offer. I had heard a lot about the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge in Lawton, Oklahoma. We packed up and set out on a afternoon trip down to Lawton for an engagement session. We knew there would be big rocks, red dirt and we hoped for buffalo.

That was really more for me. I’m pretty afraid of heights so I needed some warming up to the idea of going all the way up. But I know there was going to be a great payoff for going all the way up by car. Yup, so scared that not even the security of a car could calm my nerves. Couldn’t imagine a long hike or free climb. I just wouldn’t be able to do it.  Oklahoma Engagement Photographer Rick Patino Definitely worth it in the end. This was my favorite shot from the whole day. Visibility was great that day and made for a great photo. Couldn’t have asked for better weather for this engagement session. And as always, Jeremy being a gentleman. Chivalry never goes out of style.  Oklahoma Engagement Photographer Rick Patino Oklahoma Engagement Photographer Rick Patino Oklahoma Engagement Photographer Rick Patino Oklahoma Engagement Photographer Rick Patino Oklahoma Engagement Photographer Rick Patino After shooting around Mount Scott, we headed to the water to finish up the session with a military inspired look.  Oklahoma Military Engagement Photographer Rick Patino

Best of luck out there Penry. We’ll be missing you back in Oklahoma. Congratulations to the couple again. It was an amazing engagement session! We look forward to your wedding next year.

Lauren | Oklahoma Bridal Photography

With all this winter weather lately, I was lucky enough to have a bride from 2014, featured here, want to have more bridal portraits taken in the snow. We took to the great outdoors that Yukon, Oklahoma has to offer. Found a patch of trees and began our shoot. Lauren is an absolute trooper. Stood out in the 20°F snow, in a sleeveless wedding gown. We got some great shots. I can’t thank her enough. I hope you all like them.

Lauren was great. She even put together her own rose bouquet on the spot, you can do anything with YouTube.

Traci & Aty | Oklahoma Engagement Photography

Aty & Traci live in D.C. and traveled to OKC for their wedding. I was lucky enough to capture their engagements the weekend in they were in town visiting. They have great style. Their wedding will be at the Colcord in OKC. They started with a great Gatsby inspired rustic look.  Oklahoma Engagement Photographer Rick Patino | Traci & Aty | Engagement Portraits Oklahoma Engagement Photographer Rick Patino | Traci & Aty | Engagement Portraits Oklahoma Engagement Photographer Rick Patino | Traci & Aty | Engagement Portraits Oklahoma Engagement Photographer Rick Patino | Traci & Aty | Engagement Portraits

These two brought great style to OKC. I tried the best locations Oklahoma City has to compliment their style.

We were lucky to pull a few strings and get to shoot some portraits on the balcony of the Colcord. These next three were my favorites of the session. And probably my favorites of the year.

Morgan | Senior Portraits | OU Senior Portraits

I remember when I was about to finish up grade school and my parents thought about senior portraits. All I could imagine were big blocks that say my graduating year, letter jackets and leaning on a tree. I feel pretty lucky that my clients let me take a different take on high school senior portraits than what I remember. Here’s to miss Morgan and finishing high school! Here’s our version of high school OU senior portraits.
